Maine Seabird Biology and Conservation
Day 2 - Hog Island September 7, 2015

What a day we had - the weather was beautiful but hot and we accomplished so much! You can see all the different birds we saw at the compound as well as on a boat trip around the island. The food is the best ever and there is so much to learn. I was part of a crew of six that build a new osprey structure on top of a boat house on the mainland. There will be a cam attached to it soon and we will all be able to enjoy watching the nesting ospreys who I'm sure will take advantage of it! Tonight Steve Kress gave a talk on the Puffin Project and afterward did a book signing. If you would like to get his book they are available here at Hog Island and that way all the proceeds go to the project and they will mail it free.
